The Lord Mayor of Dublin has urged politicians to address demonstrations against asylum accommodations promptly, warning against allowing them to "fester" or waiting for "violent flare-ups" before engaging with protestors.

Fine Gael councillor James Geoghegan emphasized that it is "absolutely not" too late to regain the support of those currently opposing immigration, but stressed the importance of community engagement.

In one of his first interviews since becoming Lord Mayor, Mr. Geoghegan also discussed his plans to revitalize Dublin City Centre, aiming to eliminate spaces for individuals "hell-bent on carrying out antisocial behaviour or criminal activity," as reported by the Irish Mirror.

Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch is throwing his support behind boxer Kellie Harrington as she aims for her second consecutive Olympic gold medal in the women’s lightweight final tomorrow night.

Kellie, 34, honed her boxing skills at the Monk’s Corinthians club, established by Hutch in inner-city Dublin. The well-known crime figure has praised Kellie as a “special kid” and called her Olympic performance in Paris “fabulous for the local community.”

The Monk joined the crowds in Diamond Park, Dublin 1, on Saturday night, cheering for Kellie during her semi-final bout against Brazilian Beatriz Ferreira, shown on a big screen.

The Love Story hitmaker wowed hundreds of thousands of fans with three back-to-back performances in Dublin's Aviva Stadium during the last weekend of June. With just two venues remaining on this side of the world, fans are quickly running out of time to catch the concert. If you missed out on tickets for the Eras Tour in Ireland or want to experience it again, Ticketmaster has just released additional tickets for three dates at London's Wembley Stadium. At 4 pm, more tickets became available for the shows on August 15, 16, and 17.

Initially, the London tickets ranged from approximately £60 (€70) for partially obstructed seats to around £110 (€128) for general admission standing. Front standing tickets were originally about £170 (€198), with VIP tickets starting at £660 (€769).

For those eager to attend the concert, ticket resale websites like Viagogo could be another option. Viagogo and similar sites allow fans to purchase resale tickets from other fans. However, it's important to note that many event promoters state that tickets should not be resold after the initial purchase and may not be valid for entry to the events.
