A group of former Irish rugby internationals, led by publican Noel Anderson, has purchased the renowned Dublin pub McSorley's of Ranelagh for €5.5 million. McSorley's, a popular spot for rugby fans and sports enthusiasts, employs 25 staff members, bringing the total number of employees across all Grand Slam Bars to over 200. The pub was sold by the Murray Family, who had owned it since 1991.

A pedestrian was hospitalized after being hit by a bus in Dublin on Wednesday. The incident occurred around 11:20 am on Lower Abbey Street in the city center. The pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The road, initially closed, has since reopened to traffic.
